Help the City of O'Fallon capture the excitement of the Heritage & Freedom Fest Parade! Volunteers in this role will assist a member of the Communications team as they film parade footage, conduct interviews, and capture event highlights.
As a Parade Media Assistant, you'll serve as an extra set of eyes for the camera operator by helping them safely navigate the parade route, remain aware of their surroundings, and avoid obstacles while they focus on filming.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany a camera operator throughout the parade route
- Monitor surroundings and help identify potential safety concerns
- Assist with crowd awareness and navigation
- Communicate any concerns to event staff
Requirements:
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in summer weather
- Attentive, dependable, and able to follow directions
- No photography or media experience required
